Once a Siddha Guru Dev was passing by a village and was crossing a household. He asked for any food which can be given to him. The lady of the house prepared a generous offering and fed him really well. Pleased with her hospitality, Guruji asked her to state her desire. She mentioned that she has been trying a lot to get a baby but all these years, their effort has been futile. She is deprived of the happiness of being a mother. She asked him if Guruji could help.

Generous and big-hearted as Guruji was, he gave the lady some Udi (Bhasma / Bibhuti) and asked her to apply it. Having said that, Guruji gave her the udi and blessed her before he heads out of the village on his journey. A year passed and when Guruji was returning from his pilgrimage trip. He passed by the same village. So Guruji went to the house of the lady who had fed him well last time. The good lady was very happy to see him. She got him inside and offered him some fruits. Guruji asked where are you kid and she was startled. Where is the kid? She had not even conceived. So Guruji asked her, what she did with the Udi he gave her. She narrated that on the day last year when Guruji left, the neighbor (lady) came and started a fight: it went so intense that in that process, the lady threw away that open packet of Udi on the neighbor. And when Guruji asked if there is anything about the neighbor, the lady wants to share that the neighbor recently gave birth to a healthy child.

Guruji stated that it was because of Udi’s grace, that the neighbor's woman got her baby.

So my urge is to keep unconditional faith alive for Guruji and May we all learn to practice compassion,’ empathy.
